Therapist Esther Capes will talk about the types of help available and lead some demo exercises. Then we'll have a discussion about options for ongoing support, ensuring this complements what is offered by the NHS.

Do try to come along if you can. Email us at info@yorkparkinsons.co.uk if you're interested.

About us

York Branch is part of the Parkinson’s UK national charity, which is here for everyone affected by Parkinson’s.

We’re a friendly community of people, based in York and the surrounding area.

Our branch:

• Supports people with Parkinson’s - and their family and friends

• Offers friendship and a meeting point

• Offers a range of classes and activities for fun and therapy.

We help to change attitudes too. Our branch raises public awareness of Parkinson’s through:

• Fundraising events

• Presence at other types of events

• Liaison with NHS and other organisations.

Our fundraising allows us to host a range of classes and events for our members. And it contributes to Parkinson’s UK national and international research towards treatments and eventually a cure.
